Hello, and a very warm welcome to The Therapeutic Camper, based in Warwickshire.
I'm curious about you and what is happening for you. We can explore this together within the warm, safe, non-judgemental space of therapy.
My name is Val and I am a former Childline counsellor, along with experience as a secondary school counsellor. I am a registered BACP member - Val McFadden Profile (BACP Registration 407750) and hold an enhanced DBS for Adults and CYP (Children and Young People).
I sit on the BACP Steering Group for Good Practice and help review the BACP Good Practice in Action guides.
Everyone needs and deserves a helping hand from time to time and it can take a lot of courage and bravery to make that step. I would be privileged to take that step with you.
I hope to hear from you. Please email - office@therapeuticcamper.com for a 15 minute consultation to explore what is happening for you.
When you book in-person sessions, you have an option of our Canine Therapy support dog, registered with Canine Concern.
If this is something you may be interested in, please mention this in our initial consultation chat.
For in-person sessions, we can look at a mutually agreed suitable meeting place. I am a commutable distance to Rugby, Coventry, Leamington, Warwick and surrounding villages.
Camping and being outside in nature provides many well-being benefits, but also it is also very versatile and flexible.
I wanted to take the positive elements of this and use them in the therapeutic space, required for therapeutic relationship to be created and nurtured.
Human's can only heal and grow when they feel safe, so a therapeutic space which is non-judgemental, with the ability to build trust and safety for clients and the counsellor is central to our work together.
